Late Pick-up Policy:

The Boys & Girls Club has operating hours, like every business. At closing time, the staff is instructed to clear, lock and secure the building and property and to leave the premises.

  1. It is the PARENT’S responsibility to know the Club hours and the Club calendar, including times of closures and any changes, special hours or days when the Club is not open.
  2. Fees are $1.00 per minute per child for every minute that the parent/designated person is late picking their child up. Late pick-up fee is due to Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County at the time of pick-up. The child may not return to the Club until the late fee is paid in full.
  3. After 20 minutes past closing time, the staff member may contact the local police department and/or Child Protective Services to assume custody of child.
  4. Chronic (three occurrences) late pick-up will result in the child’s membership being suspended / revoked determined by the Branch Director.

The safety and security of the child is paramount at all times.
